John Anthony Bellairs (Janu - March 8, ) was an American author best known for his fantasy novel The Face in the Frost and many Gothic mystery novels for children featuring the characters Lewis Barnavelt, Rose Rita Pottinger, Johnny Dixon, and Anthony bltadwin.ru of his books were illustrated by Edward Gorey.
